The Annual Inter-community Bohra Sports Club Basketball Championship was held on the 2nd of August 2013 at the Carlton Basketball Courts. The event started after Iftar jaman at 10pm and went on till the early hours next day. Carlton Basketball court is currently the newest and most sophisticated court in Colombo and the players got the chance to experience these superb facilities.

The championship was contested on a 5 on 5 format, with teams divided into two groups. The two top teams from each group proceeded to the semi-finals and thereafter finals. As the championship was an inter-community event, participation was restricted to only munineen. A total of 10 teams took part in this tournament which was a very encouraging response. There were junior and senior teams alike and the championship was played on a competitive but friendly nature.
Players also received over whelming support from a strong turnout of spectators, who supported all teams and helped bring out the best from the players.
The team “Jumaat Food” comprising of Abdulqadir Sh Mustafa, Mu Huzefa Sh Shabbir, Mu Huzefa Sh Abdeali, Mufaddal Mu Moiz, Taher Sh Habib, Taher Mushtaq emerged CHAMPIONS. RUNNERS-UP were team “Falcons” comprising Mu Murtaza Sh Khuzaima, Mu Juzar Sh Nooruddin, Mu Hussain Mu Turabally, Taher Sh Hussain Akthari & Salman Sh Habib
